Eons ago, I worked on an event launch for a documentary about DJs where I met a man who had his name legally changed to Welcome Bienvenue. A double double serving of the same word in English and French. I was fascinated by the lengths he had gone to just to have the perfect icebreaker for any social situation. Watching him introduce himself and the look of confusion at his warm, bilingual hospitality was a scene out of a sitcom.
So here we are. Finally. Welcome, bienvenue to all. Hope you can stay awhile.
